This morning we began with an "Eye Opener" that asked students to find the hidden message. The first message was Sports Day Fun and This Is Our Last Week of School :) Next, students moved into the gym where the Grade 3 students told us about how successful we were in raising over $3500. All our hard work will have paid off as we will help over 3,000 people who are in need of clean drinking water in Somalia, with the "Every Drop Counts" campaign. It is truly amazing the difference New Brighton students are making in the world. After our assembly we moved outside and got a chance to try lots of different activities. Students tried Rainbow Dash, Relay Races, Dodgeball, 3-Legged Race, Potato Sack Races, etc. It was lots of fun and ended in Freezie - YUM! At lunch we celebrated all the money we raised with our pizza party.
This afternoon we made some art that was inspired by a Kaleidoscope. We learned that these optical devices use refraction and reflection. Lastly, we are finishing up our board games. They will be ready to rock tomorrow! Reminders: June 28 - Last Day of School (early dismissal)
