Today we solved a secret message that asked the students "What will be your legacy at New Brighton School?" We then wrote it in handwriting and were asked to create a secret message for a friend to solve. It was great fun!
Students wrapped up their literacy stations in guided reading this week. During our IRIS time students read aloud from a book of their choice. Then they had to make a comment about what they felt they were doing well as a reader and one comment about where they felt they could improve. If they did not have a chance to finish their comments they will be given time next week to complete. In math, students revisited the division game we played yesterday, where they had to use counters and put them into equal groups, occasionally ending up with remainders. Reminders: May 1 - Library Bus May 3 - Hats on for Mental Health (here is the link) May 10 - School Council Meeting May 19 - PD Day (No School) May 22 - Victoria Day (No School)
